Idioms/Idiot

It's always difficult getting started with something that began before you got there. Picking up the ball, hitting the ground running [whatever you want to call it] is difficult if you want to carry on what has already been started while also applying your own signature without "changing" its nature. 

And so it is with this blog:  this story. It started 28 years ago when I was born and has continued continuously [how else could you continue?] with the passing of time. The tellers have continually changed from parents and family members initially to, more recently, friends and colleagues - yet the story has continued nonetheless. Photographs, letters, postcards and the occasional chin wag/gossip being their preferred tools.

Continuing in the same vein* [damn there's another one] this blog will continue the story through the voices of my friends,  family and, of course, myself albeit in digital form. Here, we will tell the stories that we want to be remembered. The things that have made us laugh. The things that have caught our attention as we drift through life.

So grab a cuppa and enjoy the read :)
